Creating new things, trying new processes and working with different materials is my way of experimenting, learning and exploring the world around me. By setting up and answering whatever "what ifs" I think up, I show up for a younger version of myself who just wants to play, have fun and explore.
As an artist who works with paper, paints, clay, foraged items and even words, I allow myself to be drawn to whatever I find inspiring and interesting each day. This doesn't make for the most organized studio, but its one brimming with lots of energy, light and various things always on the go. I'm slowly learning too that I can create just for the pure joy and fun of it. And I do. I hope my creations make you smile, make you wonder or allow you to see something new.

My hand-built clay mobius works are all about form, the shapes they create and the emptiness in between. Without the distraction of colour or texture, the attention is focused on the organic curves and how they intertwine, the shadows they cast and the way the light hits them as the sun moves across the sky. The pieces of these sculptures are not fixed or glued together, but are self-balancing. There are many combinations of positions you can move them into as you choose, each time, giving them renewed life, energy and movement.

These Ikebana-inspired vessels are made by shaping clay over larger rocks from our beach. Because no rock is the same, neither are these. Each piece includes a flower frog.

There is nothing like a soft light to warm up a room, cast shadows on the ceiling and make a place feel like home. I create windswept sculptural lighting using heritage Japanese paper. Custom sizes available.

These are just fun to make and are most closely inspired by simply watching birds taking a drink in our backyard pond or soaring overhead. Decorative pieces for your home, hopefully they make you smile too.

A collection of acrylic abstract and non-objective paintings on canvas that create a mood and invite the viewer to infuse their own meaning. Watercolours are painted on location and are ready for framing.

Flowers and plants bring so much colour, joy and beauty to your home. Bring a few stems inside to sit on your windowsill, bedside table or place setting with a hand-built bud vase. And add some green to your living spaces with hand-built plant pots of all sizes.
